What are the admissions requirements?

1. A completed application form for interested Trainees.

2. Birth certificate.

3. A certificate of fitness from a medical Doctor.

4. A first school-leaving certificate for form one trainees.

5. Intermediate level or its equivalent for form six trainees.

6. Advanced level or its equivalent for HND first year trainees.

7. Work certificate for short-term courses.

Are financial aid or scholarships available?

Grace Scholarship of 50% tuition is given by SKILLTEC to trainees who meet the following requirements.

a. EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE: Trainees coming in form 1 who must have past the SKILLTEC entrance examination with a score of 75% and above shall be awarded Grace Scholarship to be trained in SKILLTEC. NB: Valid for 5 years except his or her performance dropped during the five years, the school has the right to withdraw the scholarship.

b. UNDER PRIVILEGED: Widows and underprivileged children who can provide evidence shall be awarded scholarship Grace Scholarship to be trained in SKILLTEC.

c. PASTOR’S CHILDREN: Trainees who can show prove that one of the parent is a pastor in any bible believing church shall be awarded Grace Scholarship to be trained in SKILLTEC.

When can one apply for Grace Scholarship?

The latest date to receive application and to conduct the entrance examination shall be June 30th every year.

Will your coursework transfer to another school? or can Skilltec consider coursework from another school?

Yes, you can transfer your course work to or from Skilltec. Take notice that, transfered students will be admitted to SkillTec through-out the course of the year, provided they meet the requirements and must submit a recommendation letter from the principal of their former school.

Is job placement assistance available?

Yes, job placement assistance is available for people who have completed their coursework/ program and for trainees who have also completed their tuition fee. Upto 60% of students can gain employment through Skilltec.

Is your school accredited?

Yes, Skilltec is accreditted. SKILLTEC Provides Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Cameroon authorized by the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training with Registration number; 00000458/MINEFOP/SG/DFOP/SDGSF/CSACD/CBAC of 19 Nov. 2021.

Is the curriculum up to date for my program of interest?

Yes, Skilltec's training programs are designed to meet up with today's vocational work requirements. At Skilltec, we update our curriculum every 2 years to meet up with employer's demains.

What Vocational Education Do You Realistically Need to Be Successful in Your Chosen Career?

Do you need a certificate or diploma? Or would it be better to have an associate or bachelor's degree? You need to determine exactly what level of education is best for the career you want to pursue. You may also opt for obtaining a certificate now so that you can start working as soon as possible, leaving open the possibility of returning to school later to earn a degree for advancement in your career.

Visit Skilltec and talk with counselors who are knowledgeable about the level of education currently being required by employers in your chosen career and in the area where you live. Some careers may only require a certificate.
